Street Machine Summernats 38, proudly supported by Rare Spares, returns to Canberra from 8 to 11 January 2026 for four huge days of cars, culture and celebration at Australia’s biggest horsepower party.
Paul Bennet Airshows return this year with an epic lineup of solo and formation aerobatic displays on the 9th and 10th January.
The festival attracts more than 130,000 fans and over 2,800 entrants from every state and territory, reinforcing its reputation as the nation’s leading automotive event.
Last year’s event injected a record $46m boost to the ACT economy, contributing to more than $900m generated since Summernats began, and the 2026 edition is expected to build on that momentum.
This year’s entertainment lineup brings major Australian acts to the main stage, with The Living End, The Screaming Jets and Killing Heidi performing on Friday, followed by Canberra favourites Peking Duk headlining on Saturday night.
Several new additions will elevate the 2026 experience, including a double skid row with two lanes, improved pedestrian access via new overpasses, expanded park-up zones and a refreshed main arena festival area featuring rides, traders and family-friendly entertainment.
The program showcases the full spectrum of street machine culture, with highlights that include the iconic City Cruise through Canberra, the world-leading Pro Burnout Series, elite show cars and unveils, the Show ‘N’ Shine, cruising, drifting, dyno testing and a packed schedule of stunt and air displays.
The free Enthusiast Braddon Fringe Festival returns across the weekend, bringing colour, crowds and live activity into the Canberra CBD.
Spectator Season Passes and One Day Passes remain available and are selling quickly, while all entrant tickets are already sold out.
